Programa de Inglés SENA 

  

El Programa de Bilingüismo del SENA es la respuesta de la Entidad a los requerimientos del sector productivo en cuanto a la formación en una lengua extranjera o segunda lengua, que les permita un mejor desempeño laboral, aumentando la competitividad y calidad del servicio de sus empresas en comparación con sus pares a nivel mundial. 

Los cursos de formación en idiomas son gratuitos y fueron creados para la comunidad en general, para que estés conectado con las necesidades del mercado laboral. 

Todos los programas relacionados a continuación tienen metodología de formación virtual, pero con acompañamiento dirigido presencial. A través del programa de formación virtual English Dot Works, el SENA ofrece una alternativa en línea cuyo objetivo principal es formar a los colombianos de todas las regiones del país en habilidades lingüísticas y comunicativas en inglés

 He holds a bachelor’s degree in modern languages and a Master in Language Teaching. He is also a quite comprehensive and experienced teacher. As an English teacher since 2007, he possesses significant expertise in language instruction, curriculum development and Computer assisted language learning. His transition to an educational coordinator role in 2013 demonstrates his leadership abilities and commitment to enhancing the educational experience beyond the classroom. With over a decade of teaching experience and managerial responsibilities, he has strong communication skills, strategic planning capabilities, and a deep understanding of pedagogical practices. Additionally, his dual roles indicate a passion for both teaching and administrative aspects of education.

 

 DIANA CRISTINA CHAPARRO ALARCÓN

  I hold a bachelor’s degree in Foreign Languages Teaching from Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia as well as a specialization degree in Educational Management from the same institution. I completed a master’s degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreing Language, Universidad Europea del Atlántico . I have got experience working in different areas and levels of education from primary school to higher education levels, I have been teaching English for more than ten years and currently, I work  at SENA- CEGAFE as leader of English.

She has a degree in foreign languages ​​with a deepening in English and French from the University of Pamplona. She is a Master's candidate in Literature from the Pedagogical and Technological University of Colombia. Her academic training has focused on the learning of foreign languages, the design of teaching strategies for comprehensive professional training, the development of evaluation instruments, and the foundation of curricular development. She has worked as an instructor in face-to-face and virtual training programs at SENA since 2014, directing English and French skills to technical and technological programs. 

  

 

 

  PAULA MÉNDEZ PIÑEROS

I am a responsible and dedicated young woman. I have a strong passion for learning and experiencing new things. My leadership, creativity, and tolerance are outstanding virtues when it comes to teamwork. I am a holder of a bachelor's degree in international business with a certified English level C1 (TOEFL). I have education in the language teaching field and I have always worked in bilingual environments. I have been a language instructor for over a year and I just began at SENA. Life has brought me to the teaching path and I think that spreading knowledge is such a beautiful and powerful tool.

With over 16 years of experience in language education, she brings extensive expertise, holding a Bachelor's Degree in Languages from Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia, complemented by a specialization in Educational Management and a Master's in Linguistics from Universidad Europea del Atlántico. Throughout her career, she's excelled as an instructor for face-to-face and virtual English programs, fostering effective language acquisition. Her fluency in English and Spanish, combined with her pedagogical insight, allows her to tailor teaching methods to diverse learning styles, ensuring optimal student engagement. She consistently exceeds educational standards, nurturing a passion for language learning among her students. Infusing her teaching with a personal touch, she creates a supportive learning environment, empowering learners on their language journey. 

 

 

 

JENNIFER RODRÍGUEZ RODRÍGUEZ

She has a Bachelor of Foreign Languages (English – French - German) from UPTC University in Tunja. She is a Specialist in Informatics Teaching from UPTC University in Duitama. She has a Master´s Degree in Bilingual Learning Environments in a virtual way at Santo Tomás University in Bogotá. Her experience has been teaching English Language for 12 years in private schools, English Institutes and she has been working at SENA – CEGAFE in Tunja for more than 7 years. She traveled to the United States of America to work as an Au Pair for 2 years, where she did some courses about pronunciation and English grammar. She likes to use different teaching methods to facilitate learning, making use of ICT to support the teaching and learning process of the apprentices. She is a friendly, helpful, kind, patient, responsible, shy, polite, careful and loving woman. Her interests are: reading, watching movies and series, listening to music, traveling and learning new languages. 

 

 

 

LEYDY JHOANA  REYES SOSA

Leydy Jhoana Reyes Sosa holds a bachelor's degree in Modern Languages English and Spanish, an specialization in Educational management and a Master's degree in Teaching Languages from Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia. She has more than 8 years of experience teaching English in different contexts. Thus, she has managed different strategies and methodologies to help learners to improve language skills. She is characterized by a creative mind and is always up for new challenges. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Foreign Language from Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia Tunja – Boyacá. She is a very committed and experienced English teacher with over 14 years of teaching experience in diverse educational settings. Skilled in designing and implementing curriculum tailored to the individual and group needs of students. Passionate about helping students develop their language skills and achieve their academic goals. Ability to create an inclusive and motivating learning environment that fosters active student participation as well as use a variety of teaching methodologies and instructional resources to facilitate learning with competence in using educational technology to enhance language teaching and learning.

HI, I am Jorge Cely, I am 39 years old, I am English and French teacher graduated from the UNIVERSITY OF PAMPLONA. Currently, I have been English teacher at SENA institution for six year and during four years working as English teacher at public and private schools having the opportunity of working with all the ages. I have been teaching English for ten years until now and it is something that I enjoy a lot. And also, I had the opportunity to work in different foreign countries such as Europe, north America and south America as a sales assistant with the company NORWEGIAN CRUISE LINE that allows me to know more about other cultures and also know more cities that I’ve never imagine.

 

 

 

LISSI JOHANNA BECERRA BECERRA

Professional in teaching English as a second language. I have a Bachelor's degree in Modern Languages (English-Spanish) obtained in 2017. I worked four years at a private school, teaching in high school. For the past two years, I have been working as a bilingualism instructor. My whole life I have been fascinated by language, and by the different ways that people and cultures use language to express themselves. In 2019, I had the opportunity to travel to the United States, living in Denver, Colorado. During this time, I attended English classes at Colorado School of English, enriching my pedagogical approach and cultural understanding. I am passionate about sharing my experience with my students, and I hope that learning English will equip them with essential linguistic tools for success. I am a dedicated, resourceful, and goal driven teacher with a solid commitment to the social and academic growth and development of every student.

She is a foreign language teacher and a specialist in learning needs from UPTC. She did some studies abroad about: an a depth look into diverse learners and physical, cognitive and psychosocial development at Long Island University in New York, USA.

My name is Luz Elena Pérez, I am Magister in Language Tecaching. I have worked in kindergardens, highschools and I was three years with the U.P.T.C University working with Normal school students. I feel engaged with my profession as soon as I love teaching English and learning everyday from my students and collegues. I am pretty interested in implementing English teaching methodologies that allow my students develop their language skills and their communicative competence. Moreover, I have been working as researcher in the English language teaching and learning field since I was at the university being that I consider it is the best way for strengthening my skills as teacher. Degree in Modern Languages Spanish - English with emphasis in English language teaching, specialist in Strategic Project Management, Master in Technology Education and Digital Competences, with C1 language skills according to the English competency assessment test "APTIS" according to the Common European Framework, with the ability to plan, design, implement and evaluate training programs especially those that are articulated with the development of communicative competences in English. Likewise, with the ability to manage Social media, to broadcast live institutional events through platforms such as Streamyard, OBS Studio and Xsplit. also has the knowledge to design activities using virtual reality and augmented reality focused on English language learning and creating social media content. In addition, experience in the management of virtual learning platforms to carry out international cultural exchanges. With teb years of experience as an English instructor in educational institutions and working with indigenous communities. Professional with communication and pedagogical skills, with good interpersonal relationships, leadership, responsibility, proactivity and easy adaptability to change.

Hello there!

I am Diana, I am passionate about reading, playing basketball, traveling and learning about other cultures. I have a degree in basic education with an emphasis on mathematics, humanities and Spanish language. I also have a master's degree in teaching English as a Foreign language. I have 10 years of experience working as a teacher, 5 of them in preschool and the rest as an English teacher in preschool, college and university. Additionally, I have taken international tests for English proficiency such as the academic IELTS, and the last exam I took was the iTEP (International Test of English Proficiency). Moreover, I enjoy both teaching and learning grammar, as well as encouraging people to embark on a wonderful journey to acces a vast reposoritory of knoweledge using English as a vehicle.

Good afternoon, I hope you are having such an incredible day that you will ever remember.

I am Antonio Romeo Recuero Rodríguez.  I was born in Cartagena de indias, the caribbean coast of Colombia. Thanks to the mercy of the Almighty I am a specialist in the English teaching, Bachelor in literature and communication, and last but no least I am a technician in the hotel and tourism field. I worked in a coupleof hotels, one of those belong to an international Branch (Stelar). I had the chance to work in schools, bilingual institutes, Universities and SENA. I was a tutor of nine thesis and a judge of 12 academic projects in English. I was also an active member of the evaluation and certification process of the Language program ofthe University of Pamplona. Additionally I was also working for radio new stations as an interpreneur and as a translator simultaneously.

I recognized all I did professionally was based on passion, everything that engaged languages captives me, especially when it comes to education. Enhancing that inalienable human right made Lord´s favor flow over me on benefits to my inner and social circles.

Oscar Leonardo Santos Cordoba

Greetings, this is Oscar Leonardo Santos, he’s 34 years old, and he’s a qualified English Language teacher, with more than 14 years of experience in teaching contexts. He’s worked for different universities and language centers in the country and abroad. He’s achieved some personal and professional goals such as being awarded scholarships and getting involved in exchange programs, which have enriched his background as a teacher.
